They are often employed by physicians or physician assistants for pain management for patients with chronic pain or post-operative rehabilitation or as an alternative treatment for people who do not want to take medications or undergo surgery.


A qualified acupuncturist in India should have a bachelor’s degree in medicine and at least three years of experience as an assistant to a qualified acupuncturist.
