A fisherman’s work is often done in all kinds of weather and on a variety of terrains. Fishermen can be found everywhere from a tropical beach to the icy waters off the coast of Alaska. Fishermen are not only interesting because they spend their days doing something so different from most people, but also because they have to be very creative when it comes to catching fish without any modern technology at their disposal.

Fishermen in India are eligible for a pension after they retire at the age of 60. They can also be eligible for a disability pension if they are suffering from any physical or mental disorders.

Job responsibilities of fishermen include: catching fish, cleaning and storing fish, operating boats, and maintaining fishing nets.
